Eugene McDavey
Eugene McDavey - a rather short, portly bastard
with wispy red hair which marks his Irish roots despite having
lived in London for the better part of his 48 years. He's a sloppily
kept man with a gluttonous lifestyle that is all about excess...food,
booze, cigars, etc, but rarely woman, as he is a shy man and terrified
of them. He always wears suspenders yet can never keep his shirt
fully tucked in.
A banker by day, but achieved his financial
freedom by night as the head of an absinth trade ring. It is in
this ring where he met Castro
on a routine absinth/cigar swap. He is never seen in public without
his hired French underling Jacques (a slimy Frenchman who wears
the same worn out red and white stripped shirt and black beret
every day), who despite being 25, McDavey insist on referring
to as "Young Jacques". Jacques rarely cares to speak
other than to use asinine comments to discount Mr. McDavey's all
too common use of cliches to take stock in a situation. For example:
"Pressure makes diamonds, Young Jacques"
- McDavey
"Yes, but it also makes poo come out of
your arse" - Jacques
Jacques, a former child prodigy, made
an estate for himself on clever insider trading in the French
market but was formally banned, however never prosecuted. (it
is rumored that the basis of his strategy was swiping briefcases
out of adjacent bathroom stalls while prolific marketers squatted
next door.) He however lost his fortune while trying to build
a series of Venetian canals through the middle of Paris - which
needless to say were a large failure.
He came under the watchful eye of McDavey
after an extensive absinth bender - which caused the bridge between
his left and right lobes of the brain to lose communication. Thus,
he must see things with both eyes to fully function. In the event
he sees things only with his left eye, he cannot speak his thoughts
on the subject, nor will his left hand be able to reach out and
grab it. This makes him terrible clumsy and appear frozen when
presented with complex tasks. Additionally he is head of McDavey's
absinth research and development wing - with the position of chief
tester of experimental fluids, or (CHEF).
